Wild Willpower PAC proudly endorsed U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders for President; there were only a few of his positions in which we do not hold synonymous views with. Pundits called him “a communist” while obviously knowing nothing about his actual platform. Below we’ve compiled several videos of him speaking alongside his official platform including his plans on “how each aspect of his platform would be paid for“.
Due to widespread media misconception, we’d like to start off by pointing this out:
Sanders’ Plan & How Its Paid For, Explained:
First off, within the first week of announcing his candidacy, Bernie Sanders exposed how thousands of multi-billion dollar corporations have been violating Article One Section 8 of The Constitution (“Taxing & Spending Clause“) via stashing their money in offshore tax havens, & how “his plan” is to get that money back & to close loopholes enabling this tax evasion:
Topic #1: “The Rebuild America Act”:
Also called “The Rebuild America Act”, authorizes $1 trillion to put 13 million Americans to work rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure. Paid for by making corporations pay taxes on all of the“profits” they have shifted to the Cayman Islands and other offshore tax havens, which the Congressional Research Services estimates may currently create losses that approach $100 billion annually, and other loopholes.
Not only does Bernie support rebuilding the infrastructure, but he supports doing it in an ecologically-wise, & thus socially-considerate way:
Topic #2: “College for All”:
Paid for by imposing a tax on Wall Street speculators that would generate about $300 billion in revenue.  He also introduced legislation that will pay off the $1.2 trillion “student loan debt” our country AND to make all colleges in the United States “tuition free” by implementing “a 50 cent tax on every $100 of stock trades on stock sales. Other parts lesser amounts on transactions involving bonds, derivatives, & other financial instruments.[2}
Here’s a video on Senator Sanders speaking on how this plan will help the country from MSNBC‘s Ed Schultz:
Topic #3: “Expand Health Care Coverage to Every American” in a Way Which Saves The Average Family $1200 Per Year:
Paid for by implementing a 6.2 percent income-based health care premium paid by employers, a 2.2 percent income-based premium paid by households, progressive income tax rates, taxing capital gains and dividends the same as income from work, limiting tax deductions for the rich, adjusting the estate tax, and savings from health tax expenditures. We’ve found 2 great videos on Bernie speaking about this issue:
Video #2 on “Expanding Social Security”:
One of Bernie’s famous “Don’t Tell Me” speeches from Marshalltown, Iowa:
Topic #4: On Issues That Affect Native Americans, & On Benefiting Sovereign Tribes:
From hiring a Native strategist (Nicole Willis—former Obama appointee, OG from the first Obama Campaign in 2008), to creating a platform that not only respects tribal sovereignty, but also understands that Native people likewise have many of the same everyday struggles as the rest of America, Bernie is the one who is putting in the work in our communities. Here’s an article from Indian Country Today Media Network:
Topic #5: “Forming An International Coalition To Take Down ISIS”:
For this topic, we’ve assembled three short videos because each touches a different aspect of Senator Sanders’ very wise views & “handle” he has on the situation:
Video #2 on Combating Islamic Statism:
Topic #6: “Expand & Extend Medicare”:
Paid for by lifting the cap on taxable income above $250,000 so that the wealthy pay the same percentage of their income into Social Security as working people. Here’s a fantastic breakdown on Bernie Sanders speaking about our current surplus that is in Social Security- this video explains his entire plan regarding “how we expand social security- NOT decrease it”:
In addition, he plans to “Prevent Cuts to the Pensions of Over 1.5 Million Americans”:
Paid for by closing two tax loopholes that allow the wealthy to avoid taxes on money they inherit and expensive artwork they collect.
Topic #7: “$5.5 billion youth jobs program to create 1 million jobs for disadvantaged young Americans”:
Paid for by ending the carried interest loophole that allows billionaire hedge fund managers to pay a lower tax rate than nurses and truck drivers.
Topic #8: “Paid Family & Medical Leave”:
Paid for by a payroll tax that would total $1.61 a week for the typical American worker.
Topic #9: “Renewable Energy and Clean Jobs Transition”:
Paid for by stopping taxpayer-funded giveaways to oil, gas and coal companies.
Topic #10: Veterans for Bernie Sanders
Senator Bernie Sanders is the former Chairman, & also a current member of the Senate Veterans‘ Affairs Committee; here’s a list of legislations he’s helped to pass over the years, from Veterans for Bernie:
