A Class Action Lawsuit for Standing Rock

Water is life!  We hear you, Water Protectors, & have adjusted our platform according to concerns we heard expressed throughout our time among the Oceti Sakowin peoples’ homelands.  From 2016-2017, a historic event took place: individuals representing more than 300 Native American tribes came together in prayer & ceremony alongside thousands of U.S. Citizens to pray for peace & unity and exercise our First Amendment right to protect the water of the Mni Soce (aka Missouri River) from being contaminated by oil.  This is the first time in history such a unity of Tribes & Citizens has come together as one, & it has truly been a wake up call, learning experience, & time of often tough but needed healing!  Wild Willpower’s team arrived to the Water Protector Camps on September 20, 2016 – read Distance’s testimony & view her case here.

Besides building an extensive archive on www.StandingRockClassAction.org, we’ve been performing behind-the-scenes work that, as soon as we get it filed, will be available online and in book form.  Many of the sections of the class action lawsuit are finished, but will not be filed until after we finish compiling www.ReUniteTheStates.org so the people can more easily follow the case & comprehend what is going on in context with what we’re filing.

In summary, the class action consists of:
